About This Listing

Brand new Furch acoustic electric classical guitar, model GNc 4-CR, this is Furch's top of the line 'hybrid' classical, nylon stringed guitar. Just gorgeous, sweet sounding and easy to play!  It is lightly built and fits comfortably in your arms.

Features an AAA Grade Western Red Cedar top and an AA Indian Rosewood set for the back and sides. Beautifully bound with artificial tortoise. Tortoise is also used for the rosette ring and to accent the inlay on the slotted headstock. The bridge, fingerboard, and headstock overlay are Ebony.  The neck is made of African Mahogany.

The GNc 4-CR comes equipped with an LR Baggs Element Active System (EAS) pickup with onboard sound hole controls.

The Furch Grand Nylon (GN) series combines two guitar worlds - the sound and lightness of playing a classical guitar and the ergonomic features of a steel string guitar neck. The Western Red Cedar soundboard and Indian Rosewood back and sides give the guitar a pleasing musical sound and a gorgeous natural look. A time-proven body design and internal bracing pattern translate into an optimal balance of volume, sustain, and dynamics.

Here are some features that are unique to Furch Guitars:
SOUNDBOARD VOICING:  The premium nature of Furch GNc 4-CR guitar is underscored by the fact that the soundboard is individually tuned using a special voicing process, which enhances the instrument’s tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, this guitar has a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.
PROPRIETARY FINISH:  The GNc 4-CR is protected by Furch's proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which has been developed to enhance the guitar’s tonal qualities. The finish consists of an ultrathin layer of highly resistant lacquer that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time.

UNIQUE TRUSS ROD DESIGN:  A high precision, dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck relief in both directions. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth and controlled neck relief, ensuring the best playability and enduring optimal setup.

Additionally, the soundboard of Furch GNc 4-CR guitar is protected by a transparent pickguard that allows the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. The pickguard is designed to have no effect on the tonal qualities of the soundboard.

This guitar has excellent tuning stability due to its' Schaller Hauser Chrome machine heads with polished ebony buttons.
