McIlroy AS65cl Classical Red Cedar / Brazilian Lacewood

About This Listing
Brand new - and a very unique build for Dermot McIlroy - this wonderful classical guitar with it's Western Red Cedar top and it's stunning set of Brazilian Lacewood for the back and sides!
It has a 'standard' classical nut width of 2", but a very 'non-standard' 14 frets to the body, not typical for a classical build.
Dermot McIlroy is recognized around the planet as a world class acoustic guitar builder. This guitar is the first (and so far only) classical guitar McIlroy has ever made. He has built quite a few 'crossover' nylon stringed guitars, but considers those to be 'folk guitars' as they are quite different, starting with their 1-3/4" nut width.
This AS65cl has a slightly different bracing pattern, as well as the 2" nut and a classical style bridge. It is a contemporary classical, as it's joined at the 14th fret and has a 24' fretboard radius which makes it extremely easy to play.
This guitar establishes Mcilroy as a top caliber classical guitar builder should he decide to continue to build in this style!
