About This Listing

Wow - this one owner,  20 year old Huss & Dalton OOSP has to be the nicest OOSP we've had in the shop to date! 20 years of seasoning has taken this guitar to a really great sounding place! Englemann Spruce top with a nicely figured set of Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. It truly has not seen a lot of play - we should call this one 'near mint'.  12 frets to the body, short scale length at 24.9" with a 1-3/4" nut. 2-5/16" spacing at the saddle. This is a warm and resonant sounding guitar that finger stylists will love! Great with a light pick, although it likes a sturdier strumming style as well. Check out the demonstration video attached to the photo array to see what we mean! Demo vid courtesy of our good friend Doug Yeomans. Some design features of the OOSP, such as the slotted head stock and pyramid bridge, add to the vintage vibe of this guitar. Huss & Daltons radiused top brings out the mid range, making for a nice, balanced overall sound!  The original owner lived in Virginia when he ordered this guitar through a local dealer, and had an opportunity to visit the Huss & Dalton shop in Staunton on more than one occasion - he picked out this beautiful figured back & side set and also specified that he didn't want an end pin hole drilled. You'll notice it's absence in the photo and video. The original owner has lived in Buffalo for a long time now, not too far from where The Fretted Buffalo is located in the historic Black Rock neighborhood!
