Lowden F-50 Sinker Redwood/African Blackwood

Just wow! This brand new Lowden F50 is a feast for both the eyes and the ears - and is an absolute joy to play! All Master Grade tone woods, with a Sinker Redwood soundboard expertly voiced by the Lowden team, and a Master Grade set of African Blackwood for the back a side set. The Blackwood balances the Redwood, producing a warm, deep tone similar to rosewood but with a bit more color. Great note separation upland down the fretboard.

We love Redwood as a top wood, because it is responsive to the fingertip in a way similar to it's Cedar cousins, but will also take a heavier flat picking style of play without giving up much headroom. A great all around acoustic with a lot of versatility!

The detail on this guitar is simply stunning! Notice how the purfling between the binding and the sides fades perfectly into the arm bevel! And the arm bevel has been executed flawlessly. It‘s some beautiful Tasmanian Blackwood that’s been used for the binding and arm bevel.

Basic specs on this guitar: long scale at 25.5"; nut width is 1-3/4"; finger board radius of 16"; string spacing at the bridge is 2-1/8".
